At last, I further my study here at Institut Perguruan Tun Abdul Razak majoring in music. Maybe it's not my ambition but at least I can predict how my future gonna be. Perhaps I can go more further another 10 years. Have a nice day, Teacher!

GAWAI

Different Style of Celebration Between Our Longhouse and City

Gawai is a celebrated by Dayaks community. It is celebrated in Sarawak and West Kalimantan on the 31th June and 1st June every year. As for me, this year is quite a great celebration since I've watched the real way of celebration. 

Miring: A ritual to give thanks.

Night of 31st May

On the night of 31st May, we used to gather at the "ruai" and have a feast. Before we can start, each of us need to drink "ai pengayu" believed by the Ibanese, it can make us live longer. No exception after reached puberty ages.

          Next, there will be some people who dance the traditional dance, "ngajat". We enjoyed ourselves that night. That's what we've been waiting for when we're going back to our longhouse.

Other gimmick:

WHEN I PRAY...

I hope I can see the light of any holes of the tunnel. 

When I'm at the end of this hard stone tunnel, 

I started to lost my direction.

I can't think when I'm lonely nor moving in this crowded world.

But,

When I pray,

I saw Him holding my hand,

He smile. 

As I open my eyes,

I saw light not in the darkness,

but in my faith.

I started to believe in myself.

            Special thanks to the principal, Dr Sluhi bin Haji Lamat for giving us support most of the time, our teachers Mr Suffian bin Haji Jalet, Ms Shanty Pero and Mr Rojali for always encouraging us to continue the art which has been our way of life. Not forgotten, the SSeMK teachers, the staff especially those technicians who are always support and helping us in doing our job in our productions.

       Friends, our time together has ended officially by sight but invisibly, we're still together as SENIMANKU 2012. Friends, it was an honour for me to wander this five years with you guys.Thank you so much for that moments. Good Luck.

Five years journey had made us grown up as a person we suppose to be. Thousands of memories will always stick to our heart. That opportunity we'll bring till our last breathe. None of us will forget the passion of SENIMANKU.
